Today is Childrens Day, a national holiday in Kazakhstan. They also have one for women back in March or April. It's a nice day to celebrate. There are balloons everywhere. Today is all about the children.
This morning we went out for some things for my apartment and the baby. I brought mostly 9 month clothes but they are too small so today I bought for Molka some cute things and a ball. I also bought a Russian doll that my translator said she rembered having when she was small. It's kind of like a weeble except it makes sounds when you try to topple him over. Most of all she likes playing with my "lipchap". I have video of this and me calling it "lipchap" by accident. I changed her into a cute little dress that must be so comfy on her little body, it's very soft. She just about says ma ma. She is repeating it after me but I can tell it's not stuck in her mind yet but it will soon. She is a very gently playpal. She got a hold of a ruler and was swinging it back and forth and I tried to take it out of her hand she gently pulled back to let me know she wasn't giving it up. Quickly I distracted her with another toy and snatched it back. She could have hurt herself. Today she tried to roll the ball back to me. It was actually more of a throw. This little thing is just so amazing! (Now is the part when I usually say "yeah until they're teenagers! Then you give them back.") Well, I'm not saying that anymore. I may think it, just not saying it.
She is a peach, a peach, a peach, or too good to be true. I think she's a
peach! I am posting pictures of Molka eating lunch and drinking from a tea cup. They also go on the potty at 6 months of age. They tie them to the seat back so they don't fall off. It works! No harm done. If they go they go, if they don't they don't.
Thanks to my friends and cousin who are helping to babyproof my house before I get home. I thought I would have time but no more. I can't wait to get her there and see her in her crib that I have been dreaming of since I was young. I am so excited about all of this. I can't believe I'm actually here, in Kazakhstan! Man..........I can do anything!
Tomarrow I will post pictures of the apartment I live in.
Molka, tomarrow we will be outside in that beautiful weather we missed today. This is our first Childrens Day we spent together and from now on we will continue to celebrate Childrens Day every year on June 1. Love you Molka, kisses.

Hi Dana,
Molka is indeed a peach and I just know you are loving her up! Glad to know that the babyproofing brigade is on the job, cause you're definitely going to need it. Can't wait to meet her (that fabulous crib awaits!).
Love you both,
Laura

It sounds like yor First Childrens Day was a success. The two of you seem to be really hitting it off. I can tell you are over the moon for little Moli. She sounds like the sweetest baby. You already are the best Mommy.
Love, Patty
