Two Week Bonding Time Complete !

Look at this beautiful face! I just love her! I want to kiss her whole face!

Serena is watching herself bouncing on the ball in the mirror she loves it!

Boss, de plane de plane!

Today was the last day of our 2 week bonding period. I really just can't believe I have been here for 2 weeks. The days just fly by! I got home last night around 9pm ish and was blogging and before I knew it, it was 12:45 am. I hope the days don't fly by like this when I get home, it's too fast.

Today was a beautiful day, the best kind, nice cool breeze and lots of sun. I wanted to stay inside for a bit and then take Serena outside for some fresh air. I just LOVE to walk into her playroom and see her looking at me with that wonderful smile she has! What a joyful moment that is for me! They let me change her there before we went into the playroom and she was more lively today. I really think she was bored outside yesterday because she could not get down on the ground. She loves to look in our bags and pull everything out. I took more video today but of course the good stuff is not on disc. She loves the mirror and was kissing it today and she was so excited! It was too cute! She also loves to be bounced on the ball and watch herself in the mirror. I would love to know what she is thinking. We went ouside for a bit and had some time alone today. It was very nice. We sat at the picnic table in the shade and played silly games. She liked playing with the grass and she was feeding it to me. It was great one on one time, we need more of that but then it was time to go so we came back in. The last picture I posted of her reminds me of Tatoo from Fantasy Island, I had to post it!

Last night I was thinking about my life before I came to Kazakhstan. I was very happy with the obvious exception that I wanted a child. I liked living alone and coming home to an empty house. I enjoy my alone time and I was afraid I would forget what that felt like. Everyone told me I would forget. So far I haven't forgotten but now I realize just how much having a baby adds to your life. Like my friend Laura says it opens you up to a whole new set of feelings you didn't know before. You were right. It's like there is another part of me that was dormant for all these years and now it's awake.

I know I keep saying this but Serena is the best gift I could ever imagine and I really feel so honored to be her mother. It's truly an honor for me that I was chosen to be the one for her. Mom used to tell us when we were small that she wouldn't give us up for all the diamonds in the world and I remember being really WOW'D by that. I now know that was an understatement. I wish I could share these mommy feelings with her. This is definetly the best thing that has ever happend to me and I hope I can be the mom that she needs.

There is this thing that happens in Kazakhstan that, thank God, we don't have at home. In the summer they sometimes shut off the hot water. Yup, no hot water for 5 days for Dana. They shut it down because they are trying to conserve water or they are working on the water pipes in the street or whatever but the cold water here is freezing! I was washing my hair with that freezing water and my scalp felt like it was burning. I thought I had frost bite. One day I did some dishes and I thought it was all good again but the next morning when I was about to take a shower no hot water. I was so looking forward to a hot shower. I finally got one today. Yipeeeee! Nothing like hot water with a shower.

Serena Moldira I won't be seeing you tomarrow because it is Sunday but I am going site seeing with Erken and Ainura to take pictures of your birthcountry. I can't wait to see you on Monday. Lots of Loves.

I never would've guessed in a million years that there would be a Herve "Tatoo" Villechaize reference on this blog. Very interesting! That photo IS a little reminiscent of Tatoo from Fantasy Island.

Good to see Serena bounced back and was enjoying today better. Love the photos of her laughing. She's just too cute. Keep her smiling.

Have fun this weekend enjoying the sights. Say hello to Ainura and Erken for me. It sounds like they are doing a great job. It is very nice of them to take time from their day off to show you around.

Love ya both,
Patty
